25 Reasons You Should Work With Me

There are so many reasons to hire a brand designer.  I have 25 reasons why you should hire me.

1. Because I’m hella cool

2. It makes their brand more valuable + they can charge more

3. Consistent branding builds trust with consumers

4. A dope brand helps you stand out in saturated markets

5. You can express your brand values with visuals

6. It cuts content creation time in half

7. It’s a way to express ones truth and show up authentically

8. I do unlimited revisions - which means you’re guaranteed to walk away with a brand you love (that’s rare in my field)

9. It saves a shit ton of time to have a system for your business visuals - more time for self care and taking care of babies

10. I’m analytical AND creative. It means I can use strategy + psychology while still making it aesthetically pleasing

11. A brand refresh is like an energy reset + a fresh start

12. You can embed your intentions and vision into your brand like a vision board - which makes manifesting them easier

13. I design brands to grow with your business. They’re sustainable.

14. Street cred

15. When you create a brand identity that speaks to your dream client, you start attracting them instead of chasing them

16. Affirming your vibes with brand identity design is empowering

17. You look legit. Like actually legitimate. Like someone people will believe is running a real ass business and not a scam

18. Deconstructing your values, mission, and purpose and then building them up is actually therapeutic.

19. I don’t just do black and white “luxury” branding. I know how to make color look valuable and professional.

20. Having a vibrant brand allows you to stop shrinking to make others comfortable and actually take up space

21. I can help you safely grow out of your comfort zone

22. It can cure burnout and inspiration drought

23. Work less, make more

24. Makes you recognizable (like how people associate purple with me and my brand now)

25. You will be supporting a queer owned business.

Not too long ago, I found myself suicidal and stuck in a marriage as a stay-at-home mom with no income. No hate on my baby daddy - even in a perfect marriage, I would have been stuck. I had limited my opportunities and my healing by giving up so much of myself for the people I loved. And I knew something had to change. Or I wasn't going to survive my depression. I decided to manifest an income that came to me ethically and in a way that honored my mental health and values. When I was a kids, I spent HOURS on my MacBook. My dad was a graphic designer who taught me how to make art on my computer. I recorded podcasts, designed presentations, created logos, filmed myself dancing, and photographed the world around me. Everything we now call "content creation" was my childhood hobby. Somewhere between sexual abuse, my dad dying from cancer, and surviving capitalism, patriarchy, and ableism, I forgot so much about who I am and what I loved doing. After being fired from a sexist job that destroyed my mental health, I vowed to do my own thing. I dabbled in photography, videography, blogging, and influencing (all of which required brand design that I did on my own), but was never passionate about anything enough to turn it into something real. Just side hustles that occasionally paid out while I focused on my babies, healing, and deconstructing my beliefs. But something happened that I didn't expect. An entrepreneur who needed a brand fell into my lap. I offered to help. And then their colleagues who also needed brands. I helped them too. And my mental health took a turn. The more I healed, the more opportunities showed up. The more chances I took on myself, the more I healed. So I invested in my healing AND in my business. Because they're linked. And Brand New Design Consulting was born. Because I effing manifested it that way. This job not only pays my bills, it funds my therapy. It funds my healing and self-care practices. It funds my independence. It funds my toddlers' education and playtime. It funds my donations to causes I care about. Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. There are big things coming soon!
